Dezato Desserts & Dining

Sashimi

All thanks to Xinli from theMoose that I finally visited Dezato Desserts & Dining. Like him, I love the laid-back atmosphere of the restaurant especially with the friendly Chef Derrick which makes the whole dining experience memorable. Food here are nett price and this is indeed an attractive deal to us.

Teriyaki Salmon

Both of us had the Grilled Salmon with Sashimi & Tempura set ($15.90). This set is especially good for those who wish to try out a bit of everything. Salmon sashimi is thick and fresh, with the soft moist texture that tasted so delightful. :D Tuna sashimi, on the other hand, paled in comparison to its salmon counterpart. It has lots of tendons which I do not enjoy at all.

Butter Yaki Salmon

I changed my Teriyaki Salmon (2nd picture) to Butter Yaki Salmon (above) which fortunately turns out even better than the Teriyaki Salmon. The butter yaki salmon is moist with the sweet, savory sauce which added as a plus point to this dish. It taste especially good when eaten with the steaming hot rice. :)

Tempura: Prawn, Sweet Potato, Eggplant, Red pepper

If I have to choose a highlight for this meal, it will certainly be the Tempura. The tempura was done perfectly and I must say that they are pretty generous with the portion as well - 2 prawns, 1 eggplant, 1 red pepper and 1 sweet potato. The batter is crisp and thin and still taste wonderful even when it is cold. I love the prawn tempura the most, with the moist and crunchy texture on the inside. :x

Grape Jelly

Just when we thought we were done with our meal, the waitress came over and served us a complimentary dessert which comes with the set. The dessert of the day is Grape Jelly which I unfortunately do not really like. It tastes a bit like white grape with….rose maybe? Haha. The only thing I enjoy is probably the grape hidden inside the jelly. :P

Lunch at Dezato is certainly great with the wonderful company I had. I was pretty amused by the false fire alarm that occurred during our meal as well. Snap, eat and run later? ;;)
