Sunday brunch @ Double Bay Restaurant: Not your usual Egg Benedict

Photobucket

Double Bay Restaurant, an Australian dining and bar, offers a cosy contemporary atmosphere located right in the heart of Raffles City. I’ve been here a couple of times and each visit has been memorable. When I found out they serve Sunday Brunch. I knew that this is one place that will not disappoint. And I’m pleased to say, I love brunch at Double Bay. :)

If you have been following my blog, you would have noticed that I’m a big fan of Eggs Benedict. Browsing through the Egg Benedict’s section has never been more enjoyable. They offered a few unusual egg Benedict’s which you can’t find elsewhere, such as Roast Strawberry Benedict & Corned Beef Benedict. I had Corned Beef Benedict ($15.90), topped with sautéed potatoes, caramelised onions, soft eggs and drizzled with hollandaise sauce. The eggs were done perfectly, with lots of yolk lava soaking the toasted muffin. And best of all, no slightest hint of the sourish vinegar. It was absolutely scrumptious. The tomato coulis at the side provided a sweet and tangy flavour which was a wonderful match to the delectable eggs benedict. I am certainly impressed by their food once again. ;;)

I love Egg Benedict at Epicurious Cafe and I love the ones here too. I can’t decide which is better as both are equally good. However, I feel that Double Bay offers much more than Epicurious Cafe. The comfortable setting, cosy ambience and less the usual brunch crowd, this is certainly my favourite place for Sunday brunch now. Besides, the variety of choices for brunch, impeccable service and the location is a plus point for them!

Now you have another great place for brunch ;)
